CRAFT INSTRUCTORS TRAINING SCHEME (CITS)
(Commonly called as CTI courses)
Objective :- To impart training to the candidates for those to wants to become Instructor in ITI/ITCs.
Trades offered are :-
vi) Electronic Mechanic.
vii) Motor Mechanic Vehicle.
Four modules each of 3 months durations. These different modules are:
i) Trade Technology I - 03 Months
(Comprising Basic components of trade practice and theory)
ii) Trade Technology II - 03 Months
(Comprising Advanced components of trade practice and theory)
iii) Training Methodology - 03 Months
(Comprising Principles of teaching)
iv) Engineering Technology - 03 Months
(Comprising workshop calculation & Science and Engg. Drawing)
Start of session :
1st AUGUST of every year
1st NOV of every year
1st FEB of every year
1st MAY of every year
How to Apply:
Applications for admission into above trades are invited through the advertisement in Employment News/regional newspapers during the month of June/Sep./Dec./March every year.
Eligibility for Admission
a) A pass in NTC in the relevant trade. or
b) A pass in NAC in the relevant trade. or
c) A pass in Diploma in the relevant trade.
d) Serving as instructor of Govt./private ITIs/ITCs possessing any of the above qualification.
Preference is given to the candidates deputed by ITI /ITC affiliated to NCVT. However, private candidates with above qualification may also apply and their admission is subject to the availability of seats, on order of merit.
Age limit :- Between 18 to 40 years.
Admission & Award of Certificate
Candidates can enroll into above programme in different spells or in continuation of each module as per their convenience. Candidate has to secure 60 % marks in Theory and practical (in home examinations) and also an 80 % attendance. On possessing above requisite, candidates will be allowed to appear for final examinations conducted by NCVT, New Delhi in Oct/Jan/Apr/Jul every year. And on passing the prescribed exam in each module, trainees will be awarded with Instructor training Certificate from NCVT.
